As the mercury bottoms out across the Great White North this winter, countless Canadian residents are sure to flock to the mountains and throw on a pair of skis. Several resorts stand out among the fray when it comes to national search interest in the land of Canadian online casinos.
Ski season typically runs from late November to late April, depending on the overall snow conditions. At BetCanada.com, we wanted to help Canadian skiers track down the best ski resorts in the country. We created a scoring system factoring in resort reviews from OnTheSnow.com and Google Trends search interest scores. We averaged the rankings in both categories; the lowest number is best. The worldwide search covered a 90-day span ending on Feb. 5, 2025.
Rank | Ski Resort | Overall Rank |
1 | Tremblant | 2.5 |
2 | Lake Louise | 3 |
3 | Revelstoke | 4 |
4 | Big White | 4.5 |
T5 | Banff Sunshine | 7.5 |
T5 | Sun Peaks | 7.5 |
7 | Kicking Horse | 8 |
8 | Blue Mountain | 8.5 |
9 | Whistler Blackcomb | 9.5 |
10 | Kimberley | 10 |

Among the favorites for Canadians are Quebec’s Tremblant, the Alberta hamlet of Lake Louise, British Columbia’s Revelstoke Mountain Resort and Big White Ski Resort in Kelowna, B.C. Alberta’s Banff Sunshine and B.C. ski area Sun Peaks Resort also rank high among locals.
The country’s top ski resort, as determined by the metrics laid out above, was Mont Tremblant Ski Resort, within the Laurentian Mountains northwest of Montreal. The Canadian mecca of skiing and snowboard scores an overall mark of 2.5 in our scoring system. Tremblant is the site of an annual FIS (the international Ski Federation) Women’s World Cup event.
The Quebec mainstay ranks half a point ahead of Lake Louise Ski Resort, which finished with an overall score of 3, on our list of top Canadian ski resorts. Revelstoke was third overall nationally with a score 4 and Big White (4.5) was fourth.
Throw in Banff Sunshine and Sun Peaks (7.5 points each), B.C’s Kicking Horse Mountain Resort (8), Ontario’s Blue Mountain Ski Resort (8.5), Whistler Blackcomb north of Vancouver (9.5) and B.C.’s Kimberley Ski Resort (10) and you have the full list of favorite ski runs covered in the nation where Canada sports betting is increasing in popularity.
Nationally, though, it seems none of them held the type of sway that Mont Tremblant does. The property, owned by Alterra Mountain Company, finished with the best scores across the board in the country during the 90 days included in our data.
